Halloween

Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition in several countries on 21 October. It is thought to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts.

Nowadays children dress up in scary costumes and go “trick or treating”; knocking on every door of the decorated houses in the neighbourhood and receiving candy from the residents.

Halloween may be on a Monday this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate it on the weekend.
